BEEF CATTLE OPERATIONS

in the Deep South require sustainable forage systems. Today, RCC supplements native pastures with nontraditional crops, rye grass, crab grass and peanuts. Oats and alfalfa are baled and stored to supplement the herd during dormant fall and winter seasons. The body condition score (BCS) of the cowherd is closely monitored and forage is adjusted to maintain optimum efficiency year-round.
